A ‘pawfect’ present !!!

As I’ve mentioned before, I started a ‘proper’ job a couple of months ago in a ceramics studio. They make beautiful ceramic tiles from the impressions of newborn babies hands and feet and have recently been experimenting with the idea of making tiles of animal paws …….

What do you get a ‘difficult to buy for’ husband for Christmas?  A paw print of his dog!

With the help of a very talented ceramicist, I made my first ceramic tile and I am over the moon with how it turned out.

I don’t know if they will expand the studio to do more and more pet tiles, but I think they make a perfect gift for any pet owner.

Woollen nesting bowls

It’s been a long time since my last post – mainly because I’ve been busy working at my new job (more about that later) and when I haven’t been working, like everyone else I’ve been tearing around like a mad thing trying to get ready for Christmas.

There has been the odd night though when I’ve been slumped in front of the TV and got my crochet hook out.  Rather than adding to my granny square pile, I’ve been making these little woollen baskets for my daughter.

Woollen Basket & nail varnish

The baskets are perfect for storing nail varnish and make up etc.

There are instructions for seven nesting bowls in the pattern and they are very quick and easy to make.  If anyone would like the pattern just message me and I’ll share a copy with you.
