Queuing for food

I’m not ignoring the dreadful situation people all over the world are experiencing at the moment, I just think it’s important to have a little escapism.  Before we went into isolation a week ago, I took lots of photos in our local park and I thought it would be nice to share them with you.

Please keep safe and well, stay indoors and look out your windows.  Spring is here and there’s so much to see, albeit from the safety of our homes.

Have you ever seen something crying out to be mosaiced?

We often visit a local farm shop with a tea-room and beautiful garden and a couple of weeks ago I was sitting on a bench enjoying a cuppa and a slice of something naughty when I noticed that the bench had two empty oval recesses just crying out to be mosaiced.   So, I made templates of the recesses with a brown paper bag, had a word with the owner (who wasn’t sure if she was dealing with a mad woman) and set off home to make my designs.

The birds in the garden gave me my inspiration

I was even surrounded by them when I went back to install the mosaics onto the bench (felt a bit like a scene from a Disney movie!)

I’m going to enjoy sitting here now!

I don’t feed the birds in my garden because I have a naughty cat but a neighbour puts out all kinds of bird food and attracts lots of pretty wild birds into the nearby trees.
